CEAT welcomes its new freshmen through its CEAT Convocation Program held last August 14, 2017. The event was held at the AMTEC Conference Room.
Engr. Jenny Rose V. Repollo, second placer in the April 2017 electrical engineering board exam and a recent addition to the EE Department’s faculty roster, shared her experiences in UPLB including initial homesickness, joining student organization, and life milestones. Engr. Repollo told the group that “UPLB is your home; CEAT is your family.”
The smallest freshman batch in recent memory – a result of the transition to K-12 program – also received an orientation on academic policies and procedures from the college secretary, Asst. Prof. Ma. Christine Concepcion Ignacio.
Incoming BS ABE freshman Meliel Raphael Malagkit delivered the response on behalf of the batch.
In her closing remarks, Associate Dean Myra Borines challenged the freshmen that “entering UP is hard, but leaving it with a degree is harder.”
The annual convocation was organized by the Office of the College Secretary. The officers of the CEAT Student Council, headed by its chairperson Ezekiel delos Reyes, also took their oath during program.
